NET Initiative Project Scope
This year, in a serious bid to improve the economy and reduce the unemployment rate of our dear nation, this year's edition of The National Career Fair will be operating on this model:
EMPLOYABILITY SKILL TRAINING
This is a three day effective training of undergraduates/graduates in employability skills to make them more desirable and employable by top employers.
This exercise will entail Microsoft office and social media proficiency test, hospitality, customer service and marketing, work place etiquette, CV and business proposal writing and secretarial trainings.
NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT TRANSFORMATION DAY
The event day will see keynote speakers and companies address over 30,000 youths at the outdoor center of the University of Lagos Sport complex.
The major motive will be to address the issue of Unemployment in the country and provide an avenue for employers to meet prospective employees for on the spot assessment and interviews.
This also provides a top of the mind awareness opportunities to achieve organizations' definitive CSR and marketing/promotional goals.
#EMPLOYANINTERN
As a sustainable follow up to the above mentioned, the #employanintern campaign is designed to engage a growing Nigerian workforce positively.
Reputable Organizations, seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs will be encouraged to employ one or more of potential interns on our platform that have been trained in basic work etiquette and professionalism either on the short or long term employment scheme.
National Employment Transformation Awards (NETawards)
The NETAwards recognise and celebrate the unique contributions of individuals and organizations to Human Capital Development, Job Creation and Employment Transformation.
The awards are presented yearly during the NET Summit stakeholders dinner night in a prestigious ceremony.
In essence, this year's edition of The National Career Fair will focus more on conscious employability and empowerment actions.
